Microchipping Service (feline & canine)

At Calavey Pet Services, we offer a professional microchipping service for both canine and feline, giving breeders and owners peace of mind that their animals are permanently and securely identifiable. It is a legal requirement for all dogs to be microchipped and registered by 8 weeks of age and, in England, cats must also be microchipped and registered by 20 weeks of age, including indoor cats.

We use only high-quality microchips from Avid, a trusted and well-established name in animal identification, with registration supported by the PetTrac database. Choosing a reliable chip and database is an important part of responsible ownership and breeding, helping to ensure details can be accessed quickly and accurately if ever needed.

Microchipping is a simple and routine procedure, but it plays a vital role in protecting your dog or cat. Whether you are microchipping an individual pet, a litter of puppies or kittens, or preparing animals before they go to their new homes, we provide a calm, professional and caring service.

For breeders, we also offer free transfer of registration to the new owner, helping to make the handover process as straightforward as possible. This gives new owners the reassurance that their details can be updated easily, while also supporting breeders in meeting their responsibilities before puppies or kittens leave for their new homes.
